Tobias Edward Tucker, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 12, 2021 at the age of 72. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A Celebration of Toby's Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Garden of Dreams, 2800 Randy in Amarillo.
He was born in Borger, TX to John and Roberta Tucker. Toby graduated from Borger High School where he played on the golf team. He graduated from West Texas State in 1976. Toby worked at KVII TV for over 35 years in commercial sales and was well known throughout the community. He was a founding member of the Amarillo Chapter for Make A Wish where he also served as President. Toby was very involved in the Make A Wish Chili cookoff. He was also a member of the Southwest Optimist Club. Toby was happiest on the golf course, fishing, traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends and spoiling his favorite grand dogs.
Toby is preceded in death by his parents and Carol Tucker.
He is survived by two children, Christi Tucker; Marc Tucker and (Sarah); brother John Tucker and (Beverly); brother Richard Tucker and (Vicki); Grandson Christopher Barbee; numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grand dogs Slider, Charlie and Daisy.
