Roberta Louise Tucker died on August 4, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bunavista Baptist Church with Pastor Conny Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
She was born in Webb City in Osage county Oklahoma on December 18, 1923 to Tobias and Georgie Compston May. After being graduated from high school in Bartlesville, Oklahoma she met and married John L. Tucker on April 14, 1944.Two years later they moved to Borger, Texas where they lived for the remainder of their lives. While living in Borger, she was a very active member of Bunavista Baptist church where she was a charter member and taught Sunday school from 1949 to 2008. She felt her life was blessed by the many children she was privileged to teach.
Roberta was an extremely accomplished seamstress who made beautiful quilts for every member of her family and was well known for her delicious pies and cakes, besides sewing and baking, she enjoyed tending her flowers and prize roses. Her family and her church were the most important aspects of her life and she strived to live for the Lord
each day.
Roberta was preceded by John her beloved husband and her brother Mike May of Dewey, Oklahoma and daughter in law Carol Crockett Tucker.
She is survived by her Sister Mildred Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her sons, John Tucker and his wife Beverly of Abilene, Toby Tucker of Amarillo, Richard Tucker and his wife Vicki, Conroe, TX, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two Great Great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bunavista Baptist Church in Borger Texas.
