BROWN SUMMIT - Mrs. Patty Ree Busick Smithey, 80, of High Rock Road, went home to be with her Lord at Beverly Healthcare Carolina Avenue, surrounded by her loving family Friday, January 12, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday January 14, at Forbis & Dick North Elm Chapel with Rev. Phil Spry officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smithey was born August 7, 1926, in Guilford County the daughter of Charlie Vernon and Ada Brown Busick. She was a member of Brown Wesleyan Church and most recently was a member of the Greensboro Bible Church. Patty was a loving wife, mother, mother in-law, aunt, grandmother, and sister. During her lifetime she was employed by Monarch Hosiery, AMP Inc. Chase Bags and Vicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Verlin Busick.
Mrs. Smithey is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Hubert Lee Smithey of the home; a beloved son, Patrick Lee Smithey and wife, Elizabeth Eisen Smithey of Mansfield, Texas; three sisters, Gladys Outen of Gibsonville, Willard B. Peoples of Gibsonville and Lucille B. Zimmerman and husband, Raymond of Gibsonville; a brother, Harrell Busick and wife, Tempie of Brown Summit; two loving granddaughters, Dinah and Mariah Smithey; two sister-in-laws, Frances Busick of Brown Summit and Virginia Smithey of Brown Summit and a brother-in-law, Seth Shoe of Gibsonville; along with 18 nieces and nephews. 470, Patty Ree Busick Smithey
