Obituary Online notes for Crawford Eural VAUGHAN
The funeral for Crawford Eural Vaughan, 87, of 296 East View Drive, Collinsville,
who died May 12, 2001, at Hanson Home in Bassett, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First
Baptist Church of Collinsville with Dr. Rob Edwards, James (Pete) Vaughan and Tip Bousman
officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park..
He was born in Henry County, October 21, 1913, son of the late Thomas Lee Vaughan and the
late Martha Jane Ingram Vaughan.Also preceding him in death were three sisters, Irene
Gillispie, Nannie Tuggle and Fannie Cash; and seven brothers, Edgar, Ellis, Lester, Nick,
Arthur, Cornelius and Grady Vaughan.
He was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and had served as a deacon
there. He retired from Stanley Furniture after 32 years. Prior to that, he worked at
American Furniture of Martinsville for 12 years.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Lillian Sides Vaughan; two daughters, Freida V.
Bousman of Collinsville and Elaine V. Bousman of Ridgeway; one son, Ronnie G. Vaughan of
St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of
Collinsville.
