Obituary Online notes for Barbara Jean SAUNDERS
Barbara Jean Saunders Moore, 84, of Graham went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Guilford County to the late Howard Calvin Saunders and Odessa Smith Saunders and was married for 64 years to the late Emmit Truett Moore, Sr. She retired from SCI and was a faithful member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and the Guiding Light Sunday School Class. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Luellen (Mike) Moser of Burlington, Melissa Ann (Rick) Mann of Graham; sons, Emmit T. (LaJune) Moore, Jr. and Kelly (Robin) Moore, all of Graham; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a brother, Richard Saunders. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Geraldine Sells.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell and her caregivers Annie and Terri for taking such good care of Barbara.
The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Bob Stephenson with entombment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
