GRAHAM - Mr. Ellis Vernon Kernodle 92, of Graham, NC passed away on December 7, 2021 at theVAHospital in Durham.
A native of Alamance Co. NC he was the son of the late Kenneth R. and Eva Stallings Kernodle and the husband of the late Gladys Coble Kernodle. Ellis in his earlier years had a garage with his father and was known for his wonderful cabinet making. Ellis was a proud Veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his daughter, Eva Hester; his son, Robert Kernodle; his loving granddaughter, Candy Jenkins and husband Paul; and his great grandchildren, Mercedes Thompson and Michaela Walker.
He was also preceded in death by his son in law, Allen Hester.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday December 10, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Uston McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church in Burlington. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday December 9, 2021 at Mc-Clure in Graham.
