Mr. Robert Vernon Kernodle 69, of Haw River, NC passed away on February 25, 2025, at his homeplace in Graham.
A native of Alamance Co. NC, he was born on March 1, 1955, to the late Ellis Vernon Kernodle and Gladys Coble Kernodle.
Robert worked for 25 years with A.O. Smith until the closing of the company and never missed a day of work in 25 years. Following A.O. Smith, he was currently employed with Anderson Sterilizers, INC. where working was his hobby.
He loved and cherished all his work family as they meant the world to him. Robert was a cut up, always having a smile on his face. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend, and was a man who always put the needs of others above his own. He will forever be remembered for his loving soul and the many hugs he had given out over the years.
Survivors include his loving sister, Eva Kernodle Hester and many other loving family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday March 2, 2025, at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Burlington with the Pastor Nathaniel Hobbs officiating. There will be no public visitation held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belmont Baptist Church at 3032 Bellemont Mount Hermon Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
