Burlington - Everlene Roberta Olive Aldridge, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 16, 1934 in Caswell County to the lateHenry Clayton Olive and Allie RobertaWilson Olive, and was the wife of 70 years to Winfred Eugene Aldridge of the home.
Everlene formerly worked at Sellars Department Store and JDK Wholesalers and retired after 30 years in the retail business. She was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery; she enjoyed gardening, flowers and red birds but mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors other than her husband, Winfred include her daughters, Teri Adams and husband Steve, Pam Cobb and husband Ray, Hope Phillips and husband Bill; grandchildren, Lesli Adams (David) Honeycutt, Jeff (Whitney) Kidd, Lynsey Adams (Carson) Koury, Lori BethAdams, Nathan (Kaila) Phillips, Natalie Phillips (Trey) Kimrey and Nicholas Phillips; great grandchildren, Whitaker Honeycutt, Adalin Honeycutt, Aldridge Honeycutt, Charlee Koury, Tracer Koury, Maylen Kidd, Ridge Phillips, Elliott Anne Phillips, Bowen Phillips, Kemp Kimrey and Avaya Hope Kimrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 15 siblings.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Michelle Alston, caregiver with Divine Favor Home Care Agency, for her loving compassion and care that she has given to their parents and to their family.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Glencoe Baptist Church by Pastor DarrellMassey with the burial to follow at AlamanceMemorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45AM Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
