Winfred "Wink" Eugene Aldridge

Burlington – Winfred “Wink” Eugene Aldridge, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 5, 1934 in Caswell County to the late Amos Albert Aldridge and Sally Bett Blalock Aldridge and was the husband of 70 years to Everlene Olive Aldridge who died on January 7, 2022.
 
Wink retired after 57 years with Star Foods. The owner/operator of Aldridge Tax Services and Aldridge Farm Equipment. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion, founding member of the Lakeview Civitans and was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon and treasurer for many years. Wink enjoyed the outdoors, farming, selling farm equipment but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.
 
He is survived by his daughters, Teri Adams and husband Steve, Pam Cobb and husband Ray, Hope Phillips and husband Bill; grandchildren, Lesli Adams (David) Honeycutt, Jeff (Whitney) Kidd, Lynsey Adams (Carson) Koury, Lori Beth Adams, Nathan (Kaila) Phillips, Natalie Phillips (Trey) Kimrey and Nicholas Phillips; great grandchildren, Whitaker Honeycutt, Adalin Honeycutt, Aldridge Honeycutt, Charlee Koury, Tracer Koury, Maylen Kidd, Ridge Phillips, Elliott Anne Phillips, Bowen Phillips, Kemp Kimrey and Avaya Hope Kimrey; a sister, Shirley Ann Whitfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, James Albert Aldridge.
 
The family would like to express their gratitude to Michelle Alston, caregiver with Divine Favor Home Care Agency, for her loving compassion and care that she has given to their parents and to their family; and to Authoracare staff and nurses for their help during their fathers’ illness.
 
The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Glencoe Baptist Church by Pastor Darrell Massey with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:45am to 12:45pm Saturday at the church prior to the service.
