John David "Navajo" Phillips, 58, of Greensboro passed away Tuesday May 4,2021. John was born September 27, 1962 to the late John and Mary Phillips.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday May 8 at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
John led a full life of love for his family and friends. He worked for the NCDOT and was a firefighter for 20 years at Southeast fire department.
John is survived by his wife Kimberly Phillips of 30 Years, Children John David Phillips Jr.(Naomi), Brandon David Nelson, Bradley John Nelson, James Derek Phillips and Katie Lea Phillips, Grandchildren Jaxson James Fice, John Delbert Phillips, Elijah Jacob Phillips, baby Phillips expected mid May 2021, Baby Phillips-Terry expected June 2021, Sister Teresa Phillips Gerringer, Brother in-law Richard May, as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents John Delbert Phillips and Mary Frances Cobb Phillips, and Brother James Delbert Phillips.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:40 PM.
