ELON — David Shelton "Spanky" Wrenn , 68, of 1805 Underwood Road, Elon, N.C., died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery
A native of Alamance County, he was a son of the late Allie and Alma Shelton Wrenn and had lived most of his life in Caswell County. He was a retired machinist with Ametek in Graham, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Boone Wrenn of the home; two brothers, Willard Wrenn of Mebane and Donnie Wrenn and wife, Janet, of Southern Pines, N.C.; two sisters, Theda Vancil and Barbara Woods, both of Burlington.
The family will see friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Citty Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Camp Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o David Vernon, 1614 Rice Road, Reidsville, N.C. 27320.
