OBITUARIES Betty Van Wrenn Brown
    ELON — Betty Van Wrenn Brown, 67, of 1186 Underwood Road, Elon, N.C., died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at the Hospice Home in Burlington, N.C.
    The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    A native of Caswell County, she was a daughter of the late George Newman and Laura Bell Underwood Wrenn, and had lived in Caswell County her entire life. She was an employee of Monarch Hosiery and was a devoted member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church. She held many offices in the church and served on numerous committees.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Brown, who died June 10, 2005.
    Survivors include a daughter, Paula B. Young and husband, Roger, of Elon; and two grandchildren, Zachary G. Young and Laura L. Young, of Elon.
    The family will see friends at Citty Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
