John Franklin Brown 
    ELON — John Franklin Brown , 69, of 1186 Underwood Road, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at his home.
    A native of Guilford County, he was a son of the late George Frank and Ollie Bell Jones Brown  and grew up in Guilford County. He spent most of his life in Caswell County, and was a retired employee of AMP, Inc.and a member of the Cherry Grove Ruritan Club, and was a devoted member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church where he held many offices and served on numerous committees.
    Survivors include his wife Betty Van Wrenn Brown  of the home; one daughter, Paula B. Young and husband Roger of Elon; five brothers, Clyde Brown  of Brown  Summit, N.C., Willie Worth Brown  and wife Thelma of Brown  Summit, Jack Brown  and wife Ann of Burlington, Bobby Brown  of Elon, and Harvey Brown  and wife Doris of Brown  Summit; two sisters, Pauline B. Cook of Elon and Ada B. Pickrell and husband Melvin of Reidsville; and two grandchildren, Zachary G. Young and Laura Young of Elon.
    The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    The family will see friends from 7 until 9 this evening at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
