 ELON, NC — Jean Talley Underwood, 83, of 2802 Midway Church Road, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
 
 Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Citty Funeral Home Chapel in Reidsville. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
 
 A native of Mineral, VA, she was a daughter of the late Horace Walter and Annie Fay Waynick Talley and had lived most of her life in Caswell County. She was a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Glen Raven Mills.
 
 Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Leo Underwood; son-in-law, Gerald Hord; brothers, Marvin Talley and Tony Talley; and sisters, Hilda Kernodle and Mary Ann Faucette.
 
 Surviving are her son, Douglas Underwood and wife Regina of Elon; daughter; Pamela U. Hord and fiancé H.C. “Butch” Dowd of Gibsonville; brothers, Terry Talley and wife Ashley of Burlington, Tommy Talley and wife Connie of Elon and Ricky Talley of Burlington; sisters, Kay Williamson and husband Larry of Gibsonville and Carol Stewart of Burlington; grandchildren; Brent Hord of Mebane, Annie H. Smith and husband Ryan of Reidsville, Chad Underwood and Jay Underwood, both of Elon; greatgrandchildren, Hunter Hord, Mason Hord, Madison Hord, Graham Smith and Morgan Smith.
 
 The family will see friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Citty Funeral Home in Reidsville.
 
 Memorials may be made to Camp Springs United Methodist Church, 9168 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
