Olive Jane Sutton, age 85, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Rome Health & Rehabilitation in Rome, GA after an extended illness.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Ray Wiser officiating. Burial will follow at Bomar Cemetery in the Raus Community.
Visitation will be held prior to funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Born January 22, 1936, in Shelbyville, TN, Jane was one of 4 children of the late Harvey H. and Nannie Florance Barnett Throneberry and is preceded in death by two husbands; Charles John Hise, and Arthur Elbert Sutton, Sr; children, Roger Dale Hise, William "Doug" Hise, and Janice Marie Honea; siblings, Gladys Burrow, Richard Throneberry, Thomas Aron Throneberry, and grandson, James Earl Anderson.
Jane worked as a seamstress for 29 years in Bedford County mainly for Fly Manufacturing and Chalkline. She was Baptist in Faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Brenda (Roger) Callahan of Calhoun, GA; brother Buster Throneberry of TX; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
