Funeral service for Arthur "Perch" Elbert Sutton Sr., age 79, of Shelbyville will be held 2:00pm Sunday April 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Scott Horne and Brother Tommy Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Mr. Sutton passed from this life Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Heritage Medical Center.
Visitation will be held 4-7pm Saturday April 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
A native of Bedford County Mr. Sutton was the son of the late Elbert & Louise Sutton, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Sutton and sister JoAnn Stewart. He was a truck driver for Bedford County Highway Dept. for many years, drove a school bus for the school system, hauled and bailed hay for the public all over Bedford County for over six decades, served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Olive Jane Sutton, children; Patricia Davis, Arthur E. Sutton, Jr., Tommy Sutton, Earnest Sutton & Ricky Sutton all of Shelbyville 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
