Mr. Grant E. Sumner, 70, of Pine Lake Drive, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Sumner is survived by his wife, Thelma Sumner of the home; children, Mason, Kelly, Larry, Jerry and Timothy Sumner, all of Greensboro, Debbie Aliff of Lantana, Fla., Lori Sweeney of Asheboro, Denise Sumner of Greensboro, Andy Putnam of Greensboro, Judi Bray of Graham; brothers, Gordon Sumner and Conrad Sumner, both of Burlington, Jeff Sumner of Raeford; sisters, Beverly Brown of Bennett, Mary Cook of Graham, Brenda Cathart of Burlington, Kay Duckworth of Asheboro; and eight grandchildren.
