Obituary Online notes for Jack E. MORGAN Sr.
Jack E. Morgan Sr., 64, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at home with his family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Summitville, the son of the late Cletus and Mary (Haisley) Morgan. In 1964, Jack was a single father with two small boys. He already had dedicated his life to the Lord and helped build Westside Assembly Church where he attended until his illness prevented it. It was there that he met the love of his life, Idona (Bolen) Johnson. They were married Dec. 6, 1964. She survives.

Jack retired in 1999 from Dana Corp. after 38 years. He liked to fish, loved Marion Giants basketball, liked eating out and loved bantering with the staff at Ryan's Family Steakhouse. Most of all, he loved his church and his family. He will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife, Jack leaves behind his blended family who deeply mourn his passing, Jack F. (Kelly) Morgan Jr., Fairmount, Rick (Melanie) Morgan, Gas City, Edwin (Trixy) Morgan, Marion, and Paul (Tammy) Johnson, Mike (Debbie) Johnson, Mary (Dennis) Cox and Roger (Karen) Johnson, all of Tennessee; sisters, Margaret Ann Goodman, Maryland, and Janie Morgan, Chicago; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Utsler; and a grandson, Timmy Utsler.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, with the Revs. A.W. Thomason, Jerrell Gallaway and Clyde Denny officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice, 412 W. Sycamore St., Kokomo, Ind. 46901.
470, Jack E. Morgan Sr.
