Barbara E. Whitesell, age 72, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2:30 am at Envive Healthcare of Huntington. She graduated from Huntington High School and worked at HK Porter. Barbara enjoyed drawing, painting, crocheting, camping and fishing. Barbara was born September 18, 1949, in Huntington, a daughter of Vaughn L. and Iris (Berry) Whitesell. She is survived by two daughters Yvonne Martin and Yvette (Scott Sr.) Bowers both of Huntington, grandchildren Justin Martin, Jade Martin, Austin Martin, Nathaniel (Gage) Drewry, Scott Wayne Bowers Jr., and Dillon Bowers, 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister Mary J. Whitesell of Huntington. She was preceded in death by a son Vaughn Whitesell Jr., a grandson Brandon Smith, and a sister Waneta Covey. Visitation will be held Monday, October 18 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm preceding the 2:30 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel. Pastor Amos Rawley will officiate.
