Robert D. Whitesell, 88, of Andrews, IN passed away at 3:10 pm Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his Residence.

Robert was born on May 19, 1932 in Huntington, IN the son of Cecil Whitesell and Athena Belle (Snowden) Whitesell. He was a 1950 Graduate of Andrews High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Indiana Business College. He married Ruth Ann (Grindahl) Whitesell on October 23, 1955 in Van Wert Ohio then moved and worked in Findlay, OH at Marathon Oil while raising his four children. Robert was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He retired from American Red Cross Of Huntington County as their Executive Director, and he also worked part time at Juergens Hardware in Huntington. He was a Foster Parent to many children, and he enjoyed serving others.

Survivors include his Wife, Ruth Ann Whitesell of Andrews, IN; Three Daughters, Kathryn D. Whitesell of Huntington, IN, Pamela Mollette of Honduras, Judith L. (Doug) Thornburgh of Andrews, IN; Ten Grandchildren, and Twenty-One Great Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father, Cecil Whitesell, Mother, Athena Belle Whitesell, Son, Kenneth Whitesell, and Brother, Marion "Jr" Whitesell.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 648 North LaFontaine Street, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery (Roanoke) in Huntington.

Current Executive Order, face coverings are required for all events.

Preferred memorials may be made in memory of Robert to the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church or to The Huntington House, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750.
