UNION CITY,IN--Franklin Arthur, 74, of rural Union City, IN, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2012 from injuries sustained from an accident.
He was born December 13, 1937 in Winchester, IN, the son of Glenn and Wanda Bell (Woods) Arthur.
He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School. He honorably served in the United States Navy. Frank was working for ASI Security at Workhorse of Union City. He had previously been employed for 22 years for the International Harves Dealership and 12 years for Wiley Well Drilling. Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Union City, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shriners of Ft. Wayne, Eastern Star of Union City, Moose Lodge of Greenville, OH, and Spartanburg Christian Church.
A service to celebrate Frank's life will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Burial will follow in Spartanburg Cemetery of rural Lynn, IN, with the Randolph Co. Honor Guard offering Military Honors. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 21st at the funeral home. Masonic and Eastern Star rites will begin at 7 p.m.
