Glenn Arthur, 87, of S. C.R. 750 East, Lynn died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999 at Community Care Center, Winchester after an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 12, 1912 in Randolph County to Lester Arthur and Lenna Alexander. He worked for Union City Body Company from 1934 to 1942. Arthur then worked as a farmer until retiring in 1998. He married Wanda B. Woods April 25, 1936 and she died in February of this year. Arthur was a 30 year member of the Spartanburg Cemetery Board.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine (John) Ward of Spartanburg; one son, Franklin (Joyce) Arthur of Union City, Ind.; one sister, Doris (Clyde) Lake of Fla.; four brothers, Lloyd (Zertha) Arthur of Sacramento, Calif., Noel (Joan) Arthur of Richmond, Basil (Lois) Arthur of Winchester and Stanley (Irene) Arthur of Union City, Ind.; two granddaughters, Jody S. (Steve) Davidson of Union City, Ind. and Janis M Arthur of Modoc.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda B. Arthur and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Lynn with minister Tom Rank officiating. Burial is at Spartanburg Cemetery, Spartanburg. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
