Obituary Online notes for Ervin W. KOOP
The funeral of Ervin W. Koop, 76, 638 N. Main, Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Parson-Rust Funeral Home in Albany. The Rev. Joe Hines will officiate. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery north of Union City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and before the funeral Wednesday.
Mr. Koon died Saturday following an illness of two years. He was a native of Seymour but spent most of his life in Muncie. He moved to Albany 12 years ago. He worked as a millwright at Ball Brothers for 40 years and retired in 1966. He had attended Albany United Church of Christ and was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Elva E. Koop; three sons, Charles and Ronald Koop, both of Muncie, and Merrill Turner of Petersburg, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Sandy Lytle and Mrs. Meralene Kerns, both of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Farrington of Beech Grove; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 470, Ervin W Koop
