LAPEL — Jane Ann Parks, 77, passed away Nov. 4, 2007, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born on June 14, 1930, in Lapel to Francis and Dortha (Montgomery) Howell.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1948.
Jane retired in 1987 from Riverview Hospital after 30 years of employment.
She was a member of Ford Street United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Circle One, the Helping Hands and, for many years, sang in the church choir.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Leroy Parks; three children, Donna Kay and husband Richard Clouse of Lapel, Philip and wife Carmie Parks of Campton, Ky., and Gary and wife Janice Parks of Rushville; two brothers, Jack and wife Jackie Howell of Lapel, Dick and wife Judy Howell of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Peggy and husband David Pritchett of Frankton; four grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Sandra Clouse of Lapel, Andrea and husband Eric Jakubiak of Chicago, Ill., Cory Parks of Rushville, and Vincent and wife Jennifer Parks of Lexington, Ky; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jenna Clouse and Tia and Alex Benefiel.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10:30 am Thursday at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel, officiated by the Rev. Mark Helm.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the children and adult volunteer choirs at Ford Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 626, Lapel, IN 46051-0626.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, Lapel.
