Jewell Rae Jones Brackett
Jewell Rae Jones Brackett, 100, of High Point passed away at Adams Farm Living & Rehabilitation, Jamestown, NC on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
A native of Danville, VA, she was the wife of the late Lewis A. Brackett and the daughter of William Jones and Rosa Bea Shelton Jones, both deceased. She was a licensed practical nurse working in the nursing industry for 47 years. Jewell loved music, was an avid reader, and loved to work in her garden. She remained active throughout her years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham and former choir member.
Survivors include three daughters, Sherron Land of High Point, Gail Smith of Bridgeton, and Angie Ward of Burlington; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Claire Clyburn and Dr. Jerry Bryan.
Immediately following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to the home of Sherron Land to share stories and to remember Jewell Brackett.
