Richard Millhouse May, 49, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021 surrounded by family.

Richard was a kind soul who never met a stranger. He loved watching racing, wrestling, The Dukes of Hazzard and Charmed. He and John would watch Mountain Monsters together and play with Matchbox cars as often as possible.

Richard was an honorary fireman at Southeast Fire Department. Prior to Covid, he would spend his time at the fire department doing whatever was asked of him.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Sonny and Rachel May, and his brother, John May. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth David May, and his sister, Kimberly Phillips. He leaves behind a nephew, Derek Phillips, niece, Katie Phillips, step-nephews, David Phillips, Jr., Bradley Nelson and Brandon Nelson, great nephews, john Phillips, Jace Terry, Landis Terry, Eli Phillips, Judah Phillips and great niece, Kylah Terry.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 9 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. An 11 a.m. graveside service will be Friday, December 10 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ cemetery, officiated by Reverend Michael Nichols. Pallbearers will be Chris Sizemore, Lee Allison, Marshall Moon, Michael Thomas, Joey Terry, and Chris Wilson.
