Sonny May was born September 9, 1933 in Guilford County, North Carolina,the son of Dolphus Clark and Evie Geneva Shoe May. On June 16,1963 he married Rachael Byrley, who preceeded him in death on May 26,1975. Sonny was a farmer and a lifetime resident of Guilford County. He is survived by his mother: Geneva; a daughter: Kimberly Dawn May; three sons: Kenneth David May, John Phillip May, and Richard Millhouse May; four sisters: Esther Daniels, Edna Shue, Ethel Shue and Verona Ward; and four brothers: Howard May, Dillard May, Mitchell May and Warren May. Sonny died Friday, December 30th, 1988 at Moses Cone Hospital. [33023]
