Obituary Online notes for Franklin Lock PRATT
Frank was born on January 28, 1944 to Charles A. & Evelyn K. Pratt, in Greensboro, NC.

He attended schools in NC and graduated from Page High School, Greensboro, NC 1962. He attended UNC Wilmington, NC graduating in 1966. Frank enlisted in the US Air Force and flew fighter jets. He served a year in the VietNam conflict and returned to fly and teach AF pilots.

He later enrolled in Troy State University through the Air Force service and gained his Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance. Prior to his retirement, he served in the first Gulf War, and retired shortly after his return. His career sent him to Florida, Arizona, South Korea, New Mexico and again to Florida, where he retired in 1993 as a Colonel with over 3,000 hours flying time. After his AF career, he taught Junior ROTC in a high school, he built houses, and worked for Defense Contractors Lockheed Martin and Defense Support Services (DS2) until retiring again in 2012. During his work with these companies he traveled all over the world, which he enjoyed a lot.

When he was home he loved playing golf and fishing with his best buddy, his father-in-law Bill. He really enjoyed spending time and traveling with his family, wife Susan, son Benjamin and Daughter Holly. Many trips were made in their RV, from coast to coast.

He was always proud of his kids, Ben spending 10 years in the Air Force and Holly gaining her AA, BA and Masters Degree. She then started a successful career teaching high school and having a wonderful family, husband Clarence and two sons, Justice and Trevor. Frank much later, discovered a son he'd never known, Jonathan. He was thankful that he was able to meet and spend time with him prior to his illness. After a hurricane destroyed his house in Florida, he made the move to Texas to be close to the kids.

Frank is predeceased by his Mother and Father.

He is survived by his wife and kids, four siblings, many nieces and nephews, aunts & uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Poets Walk Senior facility for their care of Frank for the past few months. Also the doctors and nurses at Scott White Hospital in Round Rock.

Services for Frank will be in Madison, NC on Sunday December 20, 2020 at 2 PM ET.
