Obituary Online notes for Ruth Oleta PEEPLES
Ruth P. Somers of Jacksonville, FL, passed away June 1, 2012 at the age of 83.

Born in Greensboro, NC, she moved to Jacksonville in 1954 with her late husband Samuel E. Somers.

Ruth was a member of the Friendship Class at the Arlington United Methodist Church, served as a docent at the Jacksonville Art Museum and was an enthusiastic Jaguars fan.

She was the only child of John Archie Peeples and Leta R. Peeples of Greensboro, NC.

Her children Christine E. Somers, Samuel Edward Somers III and Julia Somers Richardson survive Mrs. Somers. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Matthew S. Parks, Jacob Somers, Kathryn Somers Dailey, Lauren Somers Croy and Josiah Somers Richardson. Great grandchildren include Joshua Parks, Seth Samuel Parks, James Parks, Charlotte Parks, Lucy Dailey, Veronica Dailey and Hudson Dailey.

Visitation was Monday, June 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 5 at Arlington United Methodist Church, 1400 University Boulevard North.
