Obituary Online notes for Martha V. CONKLIN
Martha V. Pickett, 93, of Winchester passed away Monday, March 30,2015 at Reid Hospital, under the care of Reid Hospice. She was born on February 17, 1922 in Union City, Indiana to Russell and Lizzie (Baker) Conklin.

Martha was a 1940 graduate of Lincoln High School. She retired from Keys Insurance Agency in Winchester. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Winchester. She played the piano from her childhood until the present. In 1989 she was presented a certificate by the Winchester Nazarene Church for 50 years as church pianist. She also received a North Eastern Indiana District Service Award in 1989-1990 for the years that she played at the Nazarene Camp Meeting.

Martha and George purchased a winter home in Auburndale Florida in March of 1984. Martha wintered in Florida until spring of 2012. She attended the Winter Haven Nazarene Church.

Survivors include her daughter Beth Ann (Bill) Hendrickson of Winchester; one granddaughter Jodell (Rob) Lawrence of Frankfort, IN; one grandson Zane (Jennifer) Hendrickson of Losantville, IN; three great grandchildren Dillon and Brice Lawrence of Frankfort, IN and Elijah Hendrickson of Losantville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Pickett who she married on June 29, 1940.

Funeral services for Martha will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday April 3, 2015 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Danny Hines and Pastor Martin Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Friends and family may call two hours prior to services on Friday.
