CHARLES WHITESELL FUNERAL SCHEDULED TUESDAY AFTERNOON
Operation Fails To Save Popular Maple Park School Janitor
Charles Whitesell, 59, of 3110 Illinois Avenue, Maple Park, died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday following an illness of a week.
An operation at Middletown Hospital was unsuccessful for the widely known janitor of Maple Park School, popular with all of its pupils and many of their parents. He had not worked since the opening of school this year.
Long a resident of Maple Park and a native of Middletown, he held a large life-long acquaintance in this vicinity. He was a member of Maple Park United Brethren Church and activities of that congregation always were one of his most pleasant pastimes.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Pearl Whitesell; two sons, Corliss and Earnest; a daughter, Mrs. Verna Jackson; three brothers, Harold and Raphael Whitesell, of Amanda, and John Whitesell, of Ecorse, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Morningstar and Mrs. Harry Comstock of Amanda, and Mrs. Leroy Fifer, of Trenton Route One; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the residence and at 2:30 p.m. at the Maple Park United Brethren Church. The Rev. Harry Sinks will officiate. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery. 470, Charles Leroy Whitesell
