Obituary Online notes for Doris M. JACKSON
Doris M. Swallows, 79, of Piqua, passed away at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her residence.

She was born August 3, 1941 in Montgomery County to the late Calvin E. and Verna L. (Whitesell) Jackson.

She married Brad F. Swallows April 30, 1960 in Dayton; he preceded her in death March 18, 2015.

Survivors include a daughter, Darla (Randy) Hawkins of Piqua; a son, George (Roxanne) Swallows of Wasilla, Alaska; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Swallows retired from the Johnson Electrical Company of Vandalia. Previously, she cared for others as a Private Duty Nurse and a Nurse's Aide. She enjoyed caring for her lawn and could be seen sitting on her outdoor swing with her favorite canine friend, Tiny, enjoying the wonderful outdoors.

A service to honor her life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 with Rev. Dr. Keith A. Gebhart officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
