William Richard Isley
 
     William Richard Isley, of Graham,  went to be with our Lord and Savior,  Jesus Christ on October 15, 2022. 

Richard and his loving wife,  Dora Ann Richardson Isley were married for 68 years. 

Survivors include their daughter,  Kathy Fulk;  his granddaughter,  Jacquelyn Fulk and her partner, Randall Brown. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Betty Isley;  his three brothers and sister, James Isley (Dolly),  Russell Isley (Jeanette),  Kenneth Isley (Nellie),  Ruth McPherson and his grandson,  Charles “Charlie” Fulk.
 
     Richard was a graduate of Walter Williams High School and the Burlington Business College.  He worked at Western Electric,  Lucent Technologies and later retired from AT&T.   He was a lifelong member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church,  where he served as a Trustee,  was on the Administrative Board and was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class.  Richard was known to be dependable,  trustworthy and was always loved and supported by his family.  Richard was an exceptional baseball and softball player and also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
 
     A service to honor Richard’s life will be held at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Tuesday,  10/18/2022 at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Gary Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., immediately prior to the service.
 
     Richard’s family would like to express their sincere thanks and love to all of their family and friends for their many acts of kindness as well as Hospice and their caregivers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church,  P.O. Box 1060,  Graham,  NC 27253.
