Mrs. Georgie B. Isley, 91, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living of Burlington. A native of Guilford County, she was born on February 22, 1935 to R. Vastine and Naomi McCulloch Brown, both deceased. She was married to the late Vance Merriman Isley Sr., who passed away in 2022. She was retired from the hosiery industry and was a member of Friendship Church.
Georgie is survived by two daughters; Brenda Isley Holt and husband Blake and Janet Westmoreland; and one son, Vance Isley Jr. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ethan Holt and his wife Carina, Josh Holt and his wife Susan, Courtney Westmoreland, Janna Shoffner and Lauren Isley and her seven great grandchildren, Nash, Kyle, Faith, Abygail, Levi, Declan and Eve. She is also survived by two sisters, Merle Reed and Faye Wall. She was preceded in death by one son in law, Lee Westmoreland and a sister, Nance Phipps.
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 10:00am at Friendship Church in Burlington, 4612 Friendship Patterson Mill Road, Burlington, North Carolina by Pastor Nathan Whipple. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington, 306 Glenwood Avenue, Burlington, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Alamance - Caswell in honor and memory of Georgie. 261, Georgie B. Isley
