PLEASANT GARDEN — Mr. Leonard Ross "Lenny" Walker, 65, died on Friday, February 27, 2009, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at Moriah United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Dr. Linda Stack Morgan and Rev. Eugene Dean will officiate.
Mr. Walker was born in Guilford County on November 19, 1943, to the late Jesse and Mary Anderson Walker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from P. Lorillard as a tobacco equipment operator. Lenny was an avid collector and outgoing man who never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Weaver Walker; daughter, Jatina Bailey Lloyd of Pleasant Garden; son, Paul L. Walker and wife, Vicki, of Pleasant Garden; grandchildren, Candace Lea Reyes, Nancy Marie Nelson, Harley Danielle Nelson and Sydney Leigh Walker; and special friend, Mary Gurka and family.
