Mrs. Mary Jane Pettigrew, 74, of 10748 Saint Lazare, Dallas, Texas, died June
12, 1996.

A Requiem Mass will be held in Dallas at the St. Monica Catholic Church, Friday
June 14, 1996, at 5 p.m. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June
15, 1996, at the New Chatfield Cemetery in Chatfield, Texas. Father John Meyers
will officiate.

Mrs. Pettigrew was born in Gibsonville, N.C., Dec. 5, 1922. She served in the Navy Waves during World War II. She married Virgil B. Pettigrew on July 24, 1945, in St. Augustine, Fla. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil B. Pettigrew of Dallas, Texas; son, Paul Pettigrew of Dallas; daughter, Peggy Austin of Chatfield, Texas; son, Hal R. Pettigrew of Arlington, Texas; daughter Karla Hatton of Dallas, Texas; sister, Alma Dean Daughtery of Gibsonville; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A gathering for friends will be held at the Pettigrew Ranch following the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Services are under the direction of Corley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Judes Catholic Church in Gun Barrell City, Texas, in hone of Mrs. Pettigrew.
