GREENSBORO Henry W Jacobs, Jr., of Greensboro, NC, died peacefully Saturday, December 3rd at Friends Home Guilford.
Mr. Jacobs was born on April 22, 1921 in Richmond, VA to the late Henry William Jacobs and Mary Chambers Jacobs and spent the majority of his life in Greensboro, NC. He served during War World II in the Army Air Corps as a communications expert; on his discharge he attended and graduated from NC State University and worked at JP Stevens for over 35 years until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hildan Shepherd Jacobs, his brother Tom Jacobs, his sons Bill (wife Dolly) and Jonathan (wife Connie) Jacobs, and his daughter Heidi (husband Randy) Hamilton. Mr. Jacobs was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12th at First Lutheran Church in Greensboro. The family will receive guests at 10:00 am and the service will begin at 11:00 am.
