Hugh "Beale" Rodgers, 73, of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away on December 16, 2021.
"Beale" was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Stanley Leroy Rodgers, Sr., and Louise Beale Rodgers.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Susan Payne and his second wife Carol Janet Rodgers.
Left to cherish his memories are his son Shannon Rodgers (Karla Rodgers), step-son Michael Cox (Tasha Cox), step-daughter Caroline Hickman (Cecil Hickman), and step-son Jon Cox; two grandchildren, Maisie Rodgers and Tanner Rodgers; five step-grandchildren, Mikayla Cox, Meagan Cox, Molly Cox, Madeline Hickman, and Liam Hickman.
Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2021, from 6-8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Horne Funeral Home on Tuesday, December, 21st at 11 am with Pastor Danny Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.

Today, Saturday, February 1, 2014, we celebrate the journey of Carol Janet Rodgers as she travels home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is reunited with her heavenly family. Janet was born in Pulaski, on January 2, 1944.
She was the absolute best mother, grandmother, wife, friend, nurse (37 years RN with Virginia Tech), medical advisor, PDR reference person, and confidant in Southwest Virginia. An always- smiling Janet filled the hearts of everyone who met her with joy and love. Her family and friends will continue to carry her memories with them always. Janet is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jewel Kirkner, her father, Kendell K. Kirkner, and her nephew, Ricky Shelburn Clark.
Janet is survived by her oldest son, Michael Barry Cox Jr. and his wife Tasha Cox; granddaughters, Mikayla, Meagan, and Molly; her daughter, Caroline C. Hickam and her husband Cecil William Hickam III; granddaughter and grandson, Madi and Liam; and her youngest son, Jon Marc Cox. She is also survived by her husband, Hugh Beale Rodgers; and her stepson, Shannon Rodgers and his wife Karla Rodgers; step granddaughter and step grandson, Maisie and Tanner; sister and husband, Katherine and Shelburn Clark; and brother and wife Steve and Cary Kirkner.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Fairlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Collins and the Rev. Pat Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Fairlawn Baptist Church. Flowers will be appreciated, the family wishes memorials be made to the Fairlawn Baptist Church, 6758 Oxford Ave. Fairlawn, VA. 24141. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
