Mr. Ralph M. Neese, 83, of 3745 Old Julian Road, went to be with his Lord Friday evening, Aug. 27, 2004, with his family close to his side.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at Mount Hope United Church of Christ, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A loving, kind, and gentle man, Ralph was a member of the Mount Hope Church for most of his life where he attended the Men's Bible class. He bravely served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army. Following his service, Mr. Neese worked with and retired from Talley Laundry Industrial Machinery.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Edna Mae Foster Neese; sons and daughters, Ralph Eugene Neese and wife, Peggy, Linda Carol Neese, and Eddie James Neese with wife, Sherry all of the Mount Hope community, Richard Alvin Neese and wife, Lori of Wilmington, and Reverend Donald Christopher Neese of Mebane; grandchildren, David Jr., Timmy, Sammy, Drew, Angel, Shannon, Christina, Robin, Matthew, Christy, Misty, and James along with 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Monroe Neese Sr.; and daughter, Donita Faye Neese.
