Obituary Online notes for Nancy GIBBS
Nancy Gibbs Newton, age 74, passed away Sunday June 20, 2021 at her home in Cowpens, SC.

Born July 13, 1946 in Guntersville, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Betty Jean and Commie Gibbs.

Nancy was a graduate of Shelby High School. She went on to work for Fiber Industries in Grover, NC and The Cleveland County Sheriff's Department. She found comfort in the simple things in life like listening to music, her time spent at the beach, her loving canine companion Coco and being involved in the life of her great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her first husband Dennis Short of Burlington, NC.

Nancy is survived by one daughter Karen Short Harrill and her husband Robert E. Harrill of Shelby, NC. Sister and Brother-in-law, Linda and Tim Means of Oak Ridge, NC. Brother and sister-in-law Rick and Sharron Gibbs of Vero Beach, Fl. Two grandchildren, Megan Rose and husband Ben of Boiling Springs, NC, Robert Falls Harrill of Shelby, and one great-grandchild Aurora Rose.

In addition to her immediate family, she is also survived by her special friends: Donald Massie, Donna Holtzclaw, Susie Cook, Marilyn Queen, Ruby Harper and many loving nieces and nephews of which loved her dearly; Scott and Holly Rudicil, Jennifer Rudicil, Jeff Gibbs, and Michelle and Todd Schwanke.
