Dennis Eugene Short
BURLINGTON — Dennis Eugene Short , 61, of 3660 Burch Bridge Road, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at the Hospice Home after a short illness.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Morris Leonard Short and the late Ruby Davis Short and was married to Beulah Kay Danieley Short , who survives.
He was retired from Lance Inc. and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where he was the Treasurer for the Bethel Men’s Club.
Mr. Short is survived by his wife of the home; a daughter, Karen Short Harrill and her husband, Robert, of Shelby, N.C.; two grandchildren, Megan Harrill and Robert Harrill; a stepson, Jesse Gwynn and his wife, Susan, of Burlington; a stepgranddaughter, Sadler Gwynn; and a brother, Jerry Short and his wife, Mary, of Level Cross, N.C.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Renee Burnette.
Entombment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1421 Bethel Methodist Church Rd., Burlington, N.C. 27217.
