Karan Lynn Zampell Edwards, 69, of Inman, SC, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Spartanburg Hospital For Restorative Care.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, on February 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Ruth Waldrop Zampell Boykin.
Former employee with Inman Mills and a retired employee with BMG Distribution, she attended New Hope Church of God of Prophecy.
Karan was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone.
Survived by two sons, Kenny Edwards (Julie) of Campobello, Kevin Edwards (Regina) of Inman; a brother, John Zampell (Ann Green) of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, Tori Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Kenslie Edwards, Jared Dill, Brandon Dill, Jordan Trevino and Jarryd Trevino; one great-granddaughter, Delaney Rollison; a niece and nephew, Jayna Zampell and John C. Zampell.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her longtime companion, Jackie Newman; a brother, Ronald Zampell and a nephew, Jonathan Zampell.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 27, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, conducted by Rev. Barry Looper. Burial followed at Wood Memorial Park, Duncan, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to New Hope Church of God of Prophecy, 32 First Street, Inman, SC 29349.
