Ruth Waldrop Zampell Boykin, 94, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Saturday, January 30 2016, at Wesley Court Assisted Living.
Born in Haywood County, NC, on March 9, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Jennings and Mary Dixon Waldrop, and the widow of Waddell "Blackie" Boykin.
She was a member of Graceway Church and retired from Inman Mills.
Ruth was survived by a son, John Zampell of Spartanburg, SC and his special friend Ann Green, a daughter, Karan Edwards and her husband Jackie of Inman, SC, a sister, Geraldine Skinner of Boiling Springs, SC , six grandchildren, six great-grands and six great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Zampell and a grandson, Jonathan Zampell.
The family received friends Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Seawright Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:15 PM.
Funeral services followed at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jan King and Rev. Chris Wright officiating. Interment was in Wood Memorial Park, Duncan, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Church, 9107 Asheville Hwy., Boiling Springs, SC, 29316.
