Gaffney, SC - - Margaret Willis Pender, 94, formerly of 1174 S. Green River Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Brookview Healthcare. Born in Clifton, she was the widow of the late Clarence Pender and daughter of the late William M. Willis and Kate Waldrop Willis. Mrs. Pender retired from the textiles industry, was a member of the Senior Centers of Cherokee County and Macedonia Baptist Church. Surviving is a son, John Pender and wife, Mickey of Pahokee, FL; a daughter, Betty Shaw and husband, Duane of Gaffney; two brothers, William Willis of Spartanburg and Jennings Willis and wife, Regina of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Debbie Goering and husband, Tom, Myla Butler and husband, Gene, John Pender, Jr., Shane Pender and wife, Stacy, Steve Parris, David Parris and Shari Davis and husband, Steve; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren
