Roebuck, SC – Rev. William Willis, 94, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 19, 2016. He was the husband of the late Jenelle Johnson Willis and was the son of the late William and Kate Waldrop Willis.
Rev. Willis was formerly the pastor of Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle of Gaffney, SC. He served in the US Army during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane W. Jones and her husband Jesse of Roebuck and Karen W. Boling and her husband Eric of Lincolnton, NC; one brother, Jennings Willis; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, William Larry Willis; an infant daughter, Jenelle; a grandson, Ricky Willis; three sisters, Arvenia Parris, Margaret Pender and Lillian McConnell; and two brothers, Cecil and Mark Willis;
Visitation will be 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Bobo Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Mike McConnell, and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. 470, Rev William McKinley Willis Jr.
