William Larry Willis, 63, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Saturday, December 31, 2005, at his home.

Born October 9, 1942, in Spartanburg, he was the son of William Willis, Jr. of Spartanburg and the late Genelle (Johnson) Willis.

Mr. Willis retired from Spartanburg Steel and was a member of Evangel Cathedral Church of Spartanburg.

In addition to his father, Mr. Willis is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine (Millen) Willis of the home; a son, Robert Lee Willis of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Marie Payne and Odell Payne, II of Spartanburg; two sisters, Eloise Diane Jones of Roebuck, SC and Karen Laura Boling of Iron Station, NC; four grandchildren: Brandi and Justin Payne of Spartanburg, Jeremy Willis of Boiling Springs and Charity Willis of Roebuck; a great-grandson, Caleb Willis and a great-granddaughter, Morgan Willis, both of Boiling Springs.

He was predeceased by a son, Ricky Larry Willis.

Visitation was held 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
