NOTE FROM RESEARCHER GARY P. DEC 2016 (THKS!)
According to family historian, Evelyn Paisley Waters, Wiley and Evaline were both buried on the Alleghany County side of New River (South Fork) on top of a hill that overlooks the river.
The location is probably a quarter mile south of the low water bridge that now crosses the South Fork on Kings Creek Rd.
It is directly across the river from where Wiley and Evaline lived, from about the time of the Civil War until their deaths, in a "dog trot" style cabin on top of a hill on the Ashe County (Chestnut Hill) side of the river.
Wiley and Evaline's son, John Kenneth Paisley, built a house on that property at the foot of the hill and adjacent to the road that runs along the river on the Ashe County side and, after Wiley's death, used the old log cabin to store tobacco.
John Kenneth Paisley sold the property in 1928, and with his brother, Lee Gordon "Snoge" Paisley, moved to Pennsylvania where they worked in the mushroom farms. The old cabin continued to be used as a tobacco barn until the 1950's when it finally fell in.
The property where the graves are located, I believe, is now in the Loggins family.
The whole hill where they were buried is now forested, but that wasn't the case back in those days. 470, Elizabeth Evaline Senter Paisley
