Lorene "Betty" Campbell, 80, of Beckley, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Heartland Nursing Home following a long illness. Betty was raised in Virginia and attended Virginia public schools, the last being Pocahontas High School. She was an avid reader and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God.

Born April 14, 1931 at Bossevain, VA, “Betty” as she was affectionately known, was the daughter of the late Sterling Davidson (1903-1983) and Della Mae Boone-Davidson (1908-1991) of Detroit, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Bernard "Ralph" Campbell Sr. (1926-1991); a granddaughter, Donna Jo Campbell (Deceased); her brothers, James Davidson (Deceased) and Claude Elwood Davidson (1929-1985); and her sister, Dorothy Davidson-Bearre (Deceased).

She is survived by her children, Rosa JuAnn Campbell-McKinney (1949-2013) & friend Matt Mitchell, Bernard Ralph Campbell Jr. & wife Nancy Marie-Johnson-Campbell, Hoppy Campbell & wife Kathy Campbell, Dorothy Lorene Campbell-Roach & husband David Lewis Roach, Betty Jo Campbell-Miller & husband Tony Pete Miller, Robert "Jake" Campbell & wife Tina Louise Thornton-Cordell-Campbell, Randall "Randy" Sterling Campbell (1957-2018) & wife Cathy Jo Sloan-Campbell, and Della Sue Campbell & friend Kenny Daniels; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday, February 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God, 319 Sunset Drive, Beckley. Brother John Jordan and Brother George Mandacunis will be officiating. Committal services will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton
