Lyda Finney Mitchell, 92, of 2022 Tazewell Ave., Bluefield, Va., formerly of Pocahontas, Va., died Friday, September 27, 1996, at the Westwood Medical Park, Bluefield, Va.
Born in Grayson County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Mack and Lou Boone Finney.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Graham Christian Church in Bluefield. Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Mitchell; two sons, Howard Mack and Earl Mitchell; one daughter, Viola Mitchell, and one brother and three sisters.
Survivors: one daughter, Lucille Borbas of Bluefield, Va.; sisters, Ima Dee Richardson of Troutdale, Va., Selma Anderson of Marion, Va., and Dorothy Price of Wytheville, Va.; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rodriguez-Bluefield, Va., Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Barry Franklin and William Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluewell. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p m. today at the funeral home. 470, Lyda Finney Mitchell
