Steven Louis Borbas Jr., 90, of Bluefield, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
He was the son of the late Steven Louis Borbas Sr., and Katherine Lazzar Borbas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Louis Borbas and J.B. Borbas and by sisters, Mary Bona and Helen Laudi.
Survivors include wife of 65 years, Lucille Eleanor Mitchell Borbas; daughters, Sandra Fuqua of Fairhope, Ala., Ann Graham and husband Gordy of Bluefield, Va.; grandchildren, Tony Fuqua, Michael Fuqua, Butch Graham and Christi Kastner; great-grandchildren, Ryan Fuqua, Jesse Fuqua, Lacey Fuqua, Ben Kastner and Nick Kastner.
BLUEFIELD, Va. — Steven Louis Borbas Jr., 90, of 2022 Tazewell Ave., Bluefield, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
Born June 21, 1916, he was raised in Pocahontas, Va., and was the son of the late Steven Louis Borbas Sr., and Katherine Lazzar Borbas.
Mr. Borbas was retired from Nehi Bottling Co. in Bluefield, Va., after more than 40 years of service and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Louis Borbas and J.B. Borbas and by sisters, Mary Bona and Helen Laudi.
Survivors include wife of 65 years, Lucille Eleanor Mitchell Borbas; daughters, Sandra Fuqua of Fairhope, Ala., Ann Graham and husband Gordy of Bluefield, Va.; grandchildren, Tony Fuqua, Michael Fuqua, Butch Graham and Christi Kastner; great-grandchildren, Ryan Fuqua, Jesse Fuqua, Lacey Fuqua, Ben Kastner and Nick Kastner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with Father Dan Brady, Tim Borbas and the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Kastner and Mark Maddow.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until hour of services at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.
